SCANDINAVIAN COUNCIL

The Scandinavian Council established as a non-profit organization promoting interaction and
communication between the countries of Scandinavia and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the
field of culture, art and education.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to promote an educational, cultural and professional exchange between the
Republic of Kazakhstan and the countries of Scandinavia through projects and initiatives which
strengthen strong relations between countries by honouring their common national values and
appreciating their differencies.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Cultural and educational programs.
Projects to improve the city in the field of architecture and design.
Research projects (monitoring, expertise, etc.).
Participation in law-making processes.
Supporting local community groups.
Counseling, advocacy and campaigns.

OUR PROJECTS

Organization of national day celebration of Scandinavian countries in Kazakhstan.
Scandinavian film festival.
Programs for international cultural and educational exchange.
Scandinavian language learning academy.
Volunteer programs and internships.
The Foundation adheres to the principles of publicity, communication, cooperation and
responsibility.
We highly appreciate initiative and involvement, cooperation and responsibility, innovation and
creativity, efficiency, openness and transparency.
